Koh Tao

Daniel At the beginning, just to make you jealous, I shold mention that I'm sitting on the beach right now, while typing this on my PDA. I'm at Koh Tao, an small island with 35 dive schools. As you can guess, I'm spending most of my time diving (and maybe a little of it eating and sleeping). I came here directly from Bangkok, whith not much in between except for a bus breakdown. Unlike in India, Thais actually realize that they have a problem when, for example, the bus engine doesn't start. They spent much less time banging and kicking the bus, and surprisingly fast come up with a sollution. In this case they simply stopped an old public bus and hired it for the few minutes they needed to drive us to the ferry boat. The regular passangers of the public bus didn't even get off, they just enjoyed being surrounded by crazy foreigners.

The weather here in Koh Tao is not quite as nice as you'd imagine it on an tropical island, but luckyly I have to deal with it only when I get out of the 29°C warm water. Diving is more like spending time in your bathtub (well, except for the reefsharks that I can see here.)

So I guess, you see I'm pretty good at the moment. Greetings from the beach and check this blog again in a few days, when I made it to an internet café to upload some photos.
